Tangerang (2/9/2023) – Indonesia Internet Domain Name Registry (PANDI) as the Indonesia Top Level Domain Name Registry (.id) held the first and biggest Domain festival event in Indonesia, namely DomainFest .id. At the event held at The Breeze BSD, Tangerang on 1-2 September 2023, all participants who attended had the opportunity to take part in exhibitions, talk shows, workshops, entertainment, games and door prizes with prizes worth millions of rupiah.

"The DomainFest .id event, which will be held regularly every year, is a form of PANDI's commitment to advancing the Domain, Cloud and Hosting industry in Indonesia. This is in accordance with one of PANDI's missions, which is to play an active role in the development, research and technological innovation related to the Internet. Through this free event, it is hoped that all levels of society can be involved and gain new insight into what a Website, Domain, Cloud and Hosting is and be able to provide input for future internet infrastructure development such as the application of blockchain, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and others. -others," explained John Sihar Simanjuntak as Chairman of PANDI.

"The purpose of holding DomainFest .id is as a means of sharing and education regarding the internet industry, a means of networking for Registrars and other internet industry players offline, to get input from the public regarding the development of Domain .id and PANDI programs in the future and to contribute ideas and ideas for the advancement of Indonesia's internet technology," concluded John.

Furthermore, John also explained that this activity was filled with various exhibitions from Registrars and internet service providers as well as various talk shows and workshops containing the latest insights about the world of Domains, Cloud and Hosting. "DomainFest.id consists of various activities such as talk shows, workshops, exhibitions, entertainment, door prizes and games with attractive prizes. "The highlight of the DomainFest .id event is the declaration of Domain .id as Indonesia's Digital and Internet Identity and the Relaunching of s.id as an original Microsite and Link Shortener created by the nation's children which inaugurated by PANDI, KADIN and Registrar Representative on September 1 2023," explained John.

John also explained that with the DomainFest .id activity, it is hoped that it will also have an impact on the growth of Domain .id as Indonesia's Digital and Internet Identity. "As of July 31 2023, the number of .id Domains in general reached 769,965 Domain Names with the largest percentage being the my.id Domain at 40.17% or 309,270 my.id Domain Names. Followed by the ~.id Domain with 28.56% or as many as 219,918 ~.id Domain Names. Through the DomainFest.id event, it is hoped that this number will continue to grow in the future," said John.

Furthermore, John also explained that apart from DomainFest .id activities, PANDI will continue to carry out various activities and synergies with stakeholders in order to advance the internet industry in Indonesia. "PANDI will continue to carry out positive activities in the future such as PANDI Meeting activities, collaboration with various agencies related to outreach, FGDs and workshops, as well as organizing or being involved in exhibition events similar to DomainFest .id. "Previously, PANDI has also signed an MoU with the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) in order to support the .id Domain as Indonesia's Digital and Internet Identity," concluded John.
